We founded F.I.T. Health & Wellness with a simple mission: to help people stay strong, mobile, and independent through personalized, science-based training and wellness.

We provide individualized sessions in a supportive fitness center setting, with a focus on strength, mobility, balance, and long-term function. Every program is thoughtfully tailored to each person’s history, goals, and physical needs — not a one-size-fits-all approach.

As a husband-and-wife team who both live and work in the Village Walk Bonita Springs community, we value consistency, trust, and truly knowing our clients. Our goal is to provide thoughtful, professional guidance in a welcoming environment where people feel supported, safe, and confident in their long-term health.

Damian Funke | physiotherapist

Damian brings over 25 years of experience in rehabilitation, movement science, and performance training. His work combines clinical knowledge with practical application, allowing him to design highly individualized programs that are safe, effective, and appropriate for each client’s needs.

Damian specializes in one-on-one training focused on mobility, pain management, corrective exercise, and functional strength — particularly for adults who want to remain active, capable, and independent as they age. His approach bridges the gap between traditional rehabilitation and intelligent strength training in a supportive fitness center setting.

meghann shropshire 

Meghann brings a strong science and wellness background to F.I.T. Health & Wellness, with 18 years of experience teaching Biology, Genetics, and Environmental Science. Her passion for health and preventative wellness grew from a deep interest in physiology, nutrition, and long-term lifestyle habits that support overall well-being.

She plays an integral role in client support, wellness education, nutrition guidance, and community outreach. Meghann is especially passionate about making health and wellness approachable, practical, and sustainable for everyday life.
